1. The Sibling Connection: Opportunities for Partnership – Siblings often share the longest relationships and bonds. In helping to ensure the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities, siblings can play an important role, if provided with the appropriate information and support. During this session, siblings will discuss their experiences with service providers and suggestions for productive partnerships. 2. MSC Redesign Panel – Q & A: Information Sharing. Panelists: Lynda A. Baum-Jakubiak, Assistant MSC Statewide Coordinator, OPWDD-Division of Policy and Enterprise Solutions (DPES), Susan Greco, Director, Service Coordination Heartshare Human Service of New York, Kathy Kelly, Director of Service Coordination & Entitlements AHRC, NYC.

3. Laughing in the Midst of Change – Participants will be given practical skills to use humor to break dysfunctional life patterns in the workplace. These skills will help generate insight into unproductive behaviors and change them into positive methods of coping. Diana P. Vega, MSW –Director of Education and Training, Lifespire

4. Empowering people through Multimedia Technology and Art – This interactive demonstration is a lively way of drawing in an audience to learn more about the Met, the art making, and programs that work with people with disabilities. It will also introduce to attendees an established and exciting program at AHRC NYC in which individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities are being empowered by students of Pace University to express their dreams and hopes through the preparation of person-centered plans with film-making multimedia technology. We are Keeping it Real! – Learn more from group of Self Advocates about choices in relationships and sexuality, employment (and how the budget cuts are affecting this), and home life (we want a place to call our own).
